How to I remove these books? I only want a few books on my hard drive to save space.
If you are using multiple devices and wish a different subset on each, this is not possible, I have previously suggested it.
If you wish same, you bring up your library, and in another panel tools and settings, down at bottom is hidden resources then you need to drag and drop resources to hide/remove from system, sadly there is no right click option in library, andwill force another indexing.
are you saying that i MUST have my entire library downloaded on my pc?
i can pick and choose what to download on my mac and my ipad...
i have a 64gb surface...logos is KILLING my storage.
ipad is different, is "mobile"cant speak to mac as never used OS
Yes PC has always downloaded all resources (presumably unhidden) as part of the install,, there are unsupported space saving methods in wiki if you have the books you require on a USB drive
I have installed my whole library on a 256GB low profile USB 3 Device, again unsupported and not recommended, and took about 40hours to index, but all books and indexes at on USB, my index file alone is 30GB, there is a noticeable slowdown over a SSD or SATA install but almost zero footprint on device, however if you have to wipe system, or leave device at home is a real pain

Are you a Logos Now subscriber? If so, you can use the web app (app.logos.com) on your Surface. The problem is the Surface tablet functions like a PC laptop, so it uses the desktop app. It doesn't work like an Android, Fire, or iPad tablet. The mobile apps don't download all of your resources.

There is an option to hide resources in Library - see this wiki article. And it does not require/force any Indexing (see wiki about optional re-indexing).
But it is not recommended to hide a substantial part of your Library on PC and Mac desktop/laptops as it will apply to all similar devices where desktop Logos is installed, and unhiding can only be done one resource at a time. Books that you hide on desktop Logos are not available to the mobile apps.
You are all a great help! Thanks. I was wrong about my Mac, it functions the same as PC.
Anyone have tips for moving my library to a micro sd card?
See https://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive#Move_to_a_different_drive
You can move the resources folder to save space or move the Logos folder - all without re-installing (Windows).
It is a ridiculous thing and the only major Bible software program that requires this.

so many people don't care because most users are not on the cutting edge of technology which means they ave large spinning hard drives. But those who want faster hardware have moved on to SSDs which cost more and therefore give us smaller storage. Logos is too busy making obscure features that they can put in a whiz bang marketing video, but this one feature would please me as much as anything else they could do, other than give us a great notes feature on the web app. That would be my #1 priority if I were in charge and nothing else would get done at Logos development offices until that was finished. #2 would be this issue.

Not to mention updates on cellular. I think I hid maybe a quarter of my library just to stop the forced updates everytime I bought a book. Really crazy.
Not being as smart as Dave, I then had to get them all back when I pulled the PC perminently off-line. One at a time.
On my Accordance, it's heavenly ... pick and choose for each device. And I didn't even have to vote for it, too!
My solution was to move other files to the SD card so that the internal SSD was only for programs and Logos.
