A A Hodge Outlines: Whats the difference?

I already have AA Hodge outlines of theology
LLS:42.110.252002-05-14T00:31:12Z outl.lbxlls
But the one offered in March Madness is
OUTLTHEONEW.lbxlls (2.75Mb)
whats the difference? They both appear to be the 1879 edition.

I just bought the latter. Here's the description from its info panel:
The files sizes are significantly different. This snapshot is from the Logos ftp site. I didn't find a file called OUTL.lbxlls like what you have above, only OUTLTHEO.lbxlls, and the new OUTLTHEONEW.
Does yours say on the title page that it is the Rewritten and Enlarged Edition?

Another thing that no doubt has changed is that the new one appears to be very well tagged with lots of links to Logos library books: A link to Westminster Larger Catechism Question 18 worked, for example! I doubt the old version was that thoroughly tagged, though that wouldn't account for the new one being more than twice the filesize.

And after the purchase it is a "BIG" improvement, much more readable and the Grk is much better, the layout is an enormous improvement.0 -

I unfortunately neglected to check whether I had the R.A. Torrey collection already and bought it at a nice 40% discount. Bummer. I'll have to call Customer Service in the morning and see if they'll refund my purchase. And I'm going to go add a few more [Y][Y][Y][Y]'s to that suggestion on the website redesign thread about making it tell you when you already have a resource so you don't accidentally buy it again. [:(]

I came very close to making the same mistake. It would be nice if the website could tell you that you have already purchased that resource.

Oh, I hope that can be accomplished. I have wasted sooooo much time trying to figure out whether I have it or not before I can decide to purchase an item. And even then, I'm not confident, because sometimes not everything comes up unless you put in the exact reference. A W, Arthur, Arthur Walkington - Pink comes to mind.

Wouldn't author:Pink produce all of them?

Yes. Do you think it was because I put in his first name that made the list incomplete? I did it several ways at the time and was so unsure that I had found everything. (This was weeks ago.)

Perhaps many are just impulsive buyers. If you purchase something you already have, most likely you'll never use the resource, since you never cared for it before. I'm sure Logos doesn't mind though [:)]

The Hodge title Wyndell is refering to is an old E4 product that is no longer sold. The Logos product is much better as he noted.

I am building up my library for the future. I haven't yet had time to read or even become familiar with everything in my library, but I don't know when there might come a time when these sorts of resources aren't available, or aren't available for such good prices, or I will be in a situation where I couldn't afford to buy them. I expect this library I'm building to serve me well through the rest of my life in whatever calling or life circumstances I might find myself in.
Also, as an MVP on the Forum, I feel a certain amount of responsibility to be able to help people when they are experiencing problems that are specific to one or another resource. So if I had a small library I wouldn't be able to be of much help to very many people. That's my excuse, anyway. [;)]

I created a new topic. A.A. Hodge March Madness NOT a Good Deal. The retail price is 2X - $59, should be $29.
