getting the right font size with copy & paste

I have my Logos 4 "settings" on a font with 10pt size.

The "normal" in my MS Word is also set at 10pt.

When I copy and paste the Bible into that Word document the font is the correct one, but the size is always 12pt. What do I need to change for it to paste into Word with a 12 pt font so I don't have to re-format.

Hi Christine, I'm not sure how you are setting a font size of 10pt for Bible text in Logos. The Logos "Default Text Size" setting is a percentage, not a point size. Are you talking about having set the font size for Notes to 10pt in Logos? That's the only font size setting that you can control in points. And it only affects your Notes.

That doesn't seem to be what you're talking about though, because you said you are trying to copy and paste from the Bible into Word. So please fill me in further.

Incidentally, when I try to copy/paste from a Logos Bible resource into Word, it always comes in as Times New Roman, 12pt, regardless of what font I had selected as my default font in Logos. I think the Font settings in Logos are only display settings. It doesn't sound like they control how the text gets copied.

As for getting it to paste as 10pt into Word, you can change your Default Paste settings for "Pasting from other programs" to "Match Destination Formatting" and that should do what you want. Next time you paste something, notice the clipboard icon that shows up. Click on it, select Set Default Paste...

Then select your options for whether to keep source formatting or not, or match the destination formatting, depending on where you are pasting from:

Thank you- I. It is the notes that I have formatted. I will play with the % size. & take it off the default. I will also check and see what I have as default paste in Word. I will let you know if it works when I get back home.

I have a Word template that I use over and over again. I need the Scriptures to format in Abadi MT condensed- 10 pts. When I paste from other sources it conforms to that format. In Logos 3, I typed the reference in Word & then from Word added the passage and it was always in the right formatting. In Logos 4 it always comes up Abadi 12 pt. I appreciate your taking the time to help.

Actually, it isn't. "Normal" in Word is still coming up 12pt instead of 10 pt. It is the right font. For now I'll just change it or use Logos 3.
