PC Version 4: BUG, Feature or Suggestion?: Resize of Misc Panels e.g. Information and History

In PC Logos V4, a new Information or History panel is locked in size and position.

Whenever I open an Information panel, the first thing I do is drag the tab onto another panel, and back again.

Once I have done that, I can resize it at will. Prior to that, its locked and wont resize.

Please can they be created without being locked?

To test:

If I have nothing open, and open a single bible, THAT panel is free to be resized. (Grab side and drag)

If I have nothing open, and open the Information panel, its locked in size.

Jim, you can also open any of those sidebar tools directly into a sizeable panel by dragging the History or Information command from the Tools menu to wherever you want it in your layout.

Other tools that get docked that way in a non-sizeable panel by default are Highlighting, Favorites, Copy Bible Verses, Explorer, and all the Lookup tools, as well as the Help window. But you can override that behavior with all of them by dragging their command off the menu.

Many Thanks for that. Yes it addresses some of my needs, and will help me keep sane a little longer. [:)]

I have a few commands as Icons on the top line, so have added "Information" there now. I can drag and drop that icon and "sort of" get what I want with a few less key presses and mouse moves.

I tend to open, close and move tabs and windows around a lot, so currently the saved and named layouts way of working does not really help. Maybe in time, using a small number of named layouts will work out well, but for now, I tend to "play" a lot.

It will still be nice if the support windows opened in their current locations, but resizable, but I can live with your method for now. Thanks.

For info, I have "Open Library", "Update Now", "Start Reading Aloud", "Sync Now" and "Show Text Comparison" Icons too. I almost added "FSD", but if I add too many, it pushed the ones for my fav bibles, "NA27, "BDAG", "TDNT" etc off the end and I have to scroll more.
