Can't afford all the pre-pubs which are shipping at once...

I appreciate that FL is getting so many pre-pubs shipped in July!

But when too many expensive items happen to ship at the same time, I can't afford to pay for all of them at once. I've had to cancel a $400 Mobile Ed pre-pub, to be able to afford the remaining ones shipping in the same two weeks.

Certainly this is not beneficial for FL, as they "lose" a sale, and I miss out on a pre-pub I had wanted to buy.

Other customers have brought this up before, but we still don't have a "solution" to handle getting hit with a big pre-pub expense in the same month.

While it doesn't happen too often -- perhaps a couple of months out of the year -- can FL provide some sort of option which helps us get the resources we want at pre-pub pricing, without having to cancel?

Thanks for your consideration!

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Just wondering if maybe you could ask FL to do something with a payment for the special case and still get all the pre-pubs.

One other thing i try to do is set aside money for any pre-pub i order so that i am not short when they ship it.

Many of us feel your pain. I have had to miss out on many prepubs including mobile Ed courses. I have to live within my means and sometimes miss out. Sometimes I've been fortunate to pickup what I missed out on at a later date for a similar price through a sale or get it an even better pri e through a    base package in the case of books.

Reality is this has been a problem since Moses was a boy. One Solution would be to allow prepubs to be put on payment plans but FL have been reluctant to go down that path.

What we need is a subscription arrangement. Something like 'Logos Later'.   [6]

What if the Pre Pubs on a payment plan do not get downloaded until paid in full???

I won't presume to answer for FL but putting my business hat on and thinking about what my concern would be if I've invested $x (employee hours and resources) into a project. At completion I really would want to get paid in full upfront. During the project I may borrowed from Peter to pay Paul, and now it's time to pay back Peter. If that payment doesn't come back in full but in small amounts over a variable number of months I am not in a position to pay Peter back straight away and so my debt to Peter is extended, and the extension of debt normally comes at a cost.

If there was any truth in reality for FL in this very oversimplified take on the issue, denying the customer access to the resource until they pay it off would not actually solve the problem of not recuperating the cost of investment immediately.

FL though may have completely different reasons for being reluctant to offer payment plans for pre-pubs, and those reasons may then bring your suggestion into play David.

Book Cache is the worst thing you can do with your money! Is like giving it away to Logos, because you cannot get it back unless you purchase from them.

If you set money aside in your own piggy bank is better, that way if you change your mind you can still use your money for emergencies or something else instead of having it stuck in Logos Limbo. I would not have the heart to even think about recommending such option.

Another thing is coming to the realization that you can't have it all. There are so many things we'd love to have, but sometimes we can only have a few or none.

    Blessings!

I totally agree DAL. Keep it in your piggy bank and let your money work for you not FL where you are stuck with having to spend the money with them.
