Logos on a non-reflective device

I'm going on holidays soon and every year I wrestle with buying a kindle in order to read outside. Then there is the issue of a separate library.

A perfect world would allow my logos library to show up clearly on an iPad in direct sunlight. Does anyone have any tricks for this? Maybe a different device?

Antiglare screen protector might be a solution, I have not used one but have heard good things about them and they tend to be cheap enough to try out. My iPad pro (9.7) is visible in direct sun but I will admit it less than ideal...

I use the logos app on a kindle fire and it works very well. Runs off my normal Logos library. I can store a few hundred titles on it and they are really cheap.

Dave the real question is how visible is your kindle fire out in full sun directly on your screen.... a paperwhite screen is very visible in full sun...

There's a number of e-ink Android devices on the market that can run the Logos app. Use the forum search for details and recommendations.

Please also note that Logos doesn't officially support these, and indeed a small number of resources doesn't run on them (additionally to those resources that are generally unsupported on mobile.) But you can always export those to PDF on your desktop.

Obviously video resources are not going to be ideal or perhaps be usable at all but are you talking about book resources and if so could you give an example or two?

That depends on the Android version of your device. As far as I'm aware there's currently no Android reader with an up to date Android version that's still supported by Logos. For example, on an Adroid 2.3 reader, for example the following resources can't be loaded:

Great Books of the Western World
Lexham Bible Dictionary
Unseen Realm
Dracula [:#]
OT317 Transcript
Book of Common Prayer 1928 edition
Apostolic Fathers German edition

I know the latest Logos app will not load on it but many eInk devices are Android 4.2.2 does support "Logos Android Reader 5.12.4" Now this will eliminate some books for sure but give you most books, it was discussed at length https://community.logos.com/forums/p/131546/856266.aspx back in October. I find it somewhat troubling that eink devices seem to all be running 4.2.2 max as it is getting a bit long in the tooth for an OS...

That's the exact reason why I don't buy a new device. I'd expect at least Android 6 on any new device. Android 4.2.2 is just silly...

Just a shame we lost that "Export to Kindle" option. Wish Logos and Amazon could work that out, even if was something that we had to subscribe to.

I very much wish that I could do this as well. My solution in the meantime is to read in a shady spot which is probably better for my health too. [H]
