iPad: Mass confusion translating hover, click, right-click to mobile devices

A number of related issues.

On PC Web App, Hovering over a tab gives resource info. On iPad, Android tapping on tab gives resource info unless it is the currently selected tab. I would expect that to be the opposite. As it is it is annoying. Just switching tabs brings up the resource info pop up. It would be preferred if it only brought up the resource info if I tapped on the currently selected tab.

Passage guide is a real pain. Selecting a commentary, 1) Opens the commentary, 2) Opens a popup with the commentary, 3) makes the reference box active which causes the keyboard to open. 2 and 3 are unnecessary and extremely annoying.

This all feels like a bad case of mis-translating the hover/click/right-click between various platforms.
