Forum Participants,

Below is my request to Fl customer service and then their response.  I am wondering if the you man even read my email before issuing his reply.  Besides dropping the issue and being content with what I purchased, what options are available?  I have read in the past how helpful FL customer service has been for other customers.  I must have had an unusual experience.

Logos Customer Service,

I purchased a book today that has been on my wishlist for some time now. The book is Understanding Christian Theology by Charles Swindoll and Roy Zuck.

I was able to purchase this book in part due to the birthday gift of $20 from Logos, thank you. The book still cost $22.99 after the discount. That is a premium price indeed The same book in print on Amazon is $24.71

To my great disappointment after paying for a premium priced Logos book is that is not a premium-featured book. The book is missing the Notes, the Subject Index, and the Scripture Index.

This screenshot below is from the book's table of contents:

The screenshot below is from the Logos book I purchased:

As you can see there are no Notes, the Subject Index, and the Scripture Index.

Is there a possibility that this will be updated? How long will that take? What, if anything, is Logos willing to do in light of the fact that I paid full price for a new book but did not get the whole book?

You consideration is appreciated

Hey Todd! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I've gone ahead and submitted this information to our Content team for their attention. While I'm afraid we cannot provide an ETA, or confirm there'll be a solution, we will at least look into it. Thank you so much again.

The book is missing the Notes, the Subject Index, and the Scripture Index.

Often the "notes" section is missing because the notes are clickable within the resource itself.

    Hi Todd,

I have this book in Logos.  The notes section isn't included because the notes are embedded in the text as pop-ups from the note markers.  This is much more usable than having a separate section to look them up.  This is the typical way both endnotes and footnotes are encoded in Logos books:

As to not having scripture and subject indexes, it used to be Faithlife's policy to not include them because the Logos searching was able to find most anything you needed.  I think they may have changed that policy now, but this book hasn't been updated since 2004.  As it is, at least you have gotten them look at it again.
