Using Mac running High Sierra, used for many days since High Sierra came out so unlikely to be connected with that.

Spinning colored ball, never goes away. Earlier today, not the last three times it has frozen, well, not frozen but spinning ball, other applcations work without problem, earlier today Activity Monitor had very high memory usage 3 and then 4 GB, but lately no. However, still spinning ball.

Without reproduction steps, it's difficult to narrow things down. Also, we do not currently support macOS High Sierra since it is a beta operating system.
