Using the Sermon Editor as preaching notes

Maybe this is in the wrong forum, but I don't know if the feature already exists...

Is there a way to load my sermon from the sermon editor on an iPad (to be used offline) but then also, I don't personally like the scrolling option because swiping a page is faster. Is there a way to do this?

Currently, I export my sermon into Word, reformat it and then make it a PDF because I can "page turn" inside of Adobe. Scrolling takes too long and I can over-scroll, etc.

If there's a way to do this, this would save me 1-2 hours each week since I teach from an iPad with the wi-fi off.

I got my lesson to come up on my iPad, but I could not get the page turn option to work and I wasn't sure if the sermon was available off line.

Unfortunately page turning is not available for documents. It is more than a little silly. 1-2 hours a week sounds like a lot to just export as. PDF to Dropbox or OneDrive and open on your iPad though. Is there any other way you can refine your workflow, while we wait on a solution?

Personally I love the scrolling feature on my iPhone or iPad. The sermon editor being available on a mobile device is just awesome! I don't know how you are going about it but whenever I used to put my word documents on PDF and then email them and downloaded them on my iPad it didn't take me two hours. 5 minutes tops is all it took.

Anyway, maybe they can provide that option. I know that for books they have that option to turn on and off the scrolling feature. I prefer to keep it on for everything.

The export is ok, but there are things I need to stand out in my notes that I don't get in the export and sync it with my PowerPoint. That is what takes all the time. I have 20 to 30 slides in my message that have to be edited and I need to make an indicator for each slide change in my notes and I add formatting to draw my eye to points. I could use it "as is" in the Editor, but because I do PowerPoint and I can't add my own background images in the editor, I have to update it all outside of Logos.

It's interesting because I'm a few features away from saving a few hours a week. I'll be patient. I teach weekly at our main life group (60 to 70 people) and sometimes on weekends (2400 people), but I hope to be able to optimize my preparation time and the editor is getting so much better.

Just picking up on a few thoughts

I agree this would be very helpful and something I have requested in the past

What I do at the moment is use a "Speaker style" to indicate a slide change - pink background in the screenshot below

It might be nice if it were automatic but it does work well.

and I add formatting to draw my eye to points.

You can do this using the Speaker Style options - shown below. These affect what you see in the Sermon Document but not what is exported

If you are a Logos Now subscriber you can upload your own images to the Logos media tool and then use those for sermon slide backgrounds. These will then be exported to PPT or other forms. I don't know if this would help with what you are trying to do?

Thanks for this. I didn't know about uploading backgrounds. I own Logos 7, so I don't know if I have access to Logos media tool. I'll have to look into that more. The Speaker tool that came available with the latest update has already helped, but I would love for it someday to be all Logos so I can use it as it rather than working with the Export. All of this would save time.

I feel you brother! I found the answer to the same question...Hallelu! Open the Logos app (on iPhone/ipad) look for documents and BOOM!!! the feature works great
