Customer requests related to (new) notes platform

Phil has mentioned several times that work on a new notes platform is underway, and that it eventually will replace the old notes system on all platforms.
While we don't know the full list of features which will be supported by (or improved for) the new notes platform, this is a good opportunity to bring up some old requests to see if they will get addressed by the new platform.
- Some Control/Command-Z option to undo inadvertent highlighting or deletion would be very helpful. Annotations/notes shouldn't inadvertently be lost if an action (such as Erase or Remove annotations) is more destructive than expected and no option exists for recovery.
If you know of any other note-related uservoice suggestions that we could vote on, please post links to them here, to help recommend features that the new notes platform should offer. Thanks!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Unable to post @Uservoice. It says I've used all of my votes and I can not create a new post.

You would have to reallocate your previous votes.

I'd love to see option to add images to notes (and to draw simple line images with touch screen or mouse), and to have folders for documents.
Faithlife Connect + several Base Packages + Luther's Works, etc.

Would love, love, love to be able to mass-move notes / highlights to another document.
And would like the ability to further pre-define how my notes and highlights are tied to documents. For example, I'd like to be able to set Logos notes up so that if I highlight a Bible, it goes into a Bible, or NT / OT, or even a Bible book note. But if I work in a commentary, it automatically attaches to a preset note for commentaries. I know the new highlighting interactive being developed will allow notes to be viewed in this manner, but I'd still let to see them attached to documents in a much more controlled, structured, and pre-organized manner. Right now my notes and highlighting is such a mess I get discouraged just thinking about them. lol. And heaven forbid I should try to move one of them...Logo's just can't handle much of that, even on a mac-daddy Mac. [:D]

Prepare for a rethink about notes Myke if these early comments about the new notes / clippings / highlights are the way Logos is still heading with them. They will no longer be tied to documents.but a central database with tagging of them becoming much more significant.
Alan Palmer (Faithlife) said:They are different from desktop notes in several key ways:
- First and foremost, they are not broken into different "documents".
Phil Gons (Faithlife) said:Fr Devin Roza said:I hope you take advantage of this opportunity to "migrate" the desktop notes to a more flexible and powerful "centralized" note repository, where things like "note documents" become just one more type of tagging that the note has, with the added benefits to speed, searching, flexibility, etc. that a system like this could bring.
That's exactly where we plan to go.

Phil Gons (Faithlife) said:Thanks for the feedback. Adding Clippings functionality is on the list. Our current plans, however, are to integrate Clippings into the new Notes tool. It's unlikely that we'll add support for the current Clippings documents. I think you'll find the new implementation will be even better than the current one. I don't have a time frame for it, but you should start to see progress on the new tool in the next 2–4 weeks as frontend efforts start to pick up. Most of our effort to date has been on the backend.

1. Ability to include images (4th item on uservoice)
2. Ability to include tables
3. Folder heirarchy
..would be essential for any note system in my opinion.
Notes is still (after many many years) the weakest aspect of Logos! Hope they can be updated to 20th century needs (and yes I know we are in the 21st century!!!)
