Syntax Search gives duplicates

Trying to understand Syntax Search.

Using AFAT I often get duplicates in my search results.

1. Is that a bug? If not, why does it give duplicates?

2. How can I filter the duplicates out?

Here is an example:

Dell XPS 17 9700, W11, 32GB, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

    Matching skips levels.

It creates multiple hits. Why? I haven't thought through it so I don't know why.

I'd encourage you to do all you can to not click that little button. :) It usually messes with things.

    1. Is that a bug? If not, why does it give duplicates?

Apparent duplicates arise with "Matching skips levels" because there can be several clauses (and/or clauseIC's) that contain a Segment. So you will see a result for each combination of terms that satisfies your query. Also, there can be multiple nouns within an Indirect Object (select "Highlight in Results" to see this).

    2. How can I filter the duplicates out?

Your query can become too complicated without "Matching skips levels" so don't remove that attribute without good reason. If you can be more specific about the noun it will reduce the number of results, including the 'duplicates' that occur within an Indirect Object.
