This is Dr Heiser's new prepub, soon to ship. I've no idea what tack he'll take, but the TOC looks interesting.

Closely related and also interesting is Gabriele Boccaccini's 'Beyond the Essene Hypothesis'. I like this one because he discusses the Essenes uniquely, relative to the evolving Enochian writings. He has a specific theory (which is quite thin), but the good part is analyzing each sectarian writing as they move through time. Very thought provoking.

And lastly, about to ship is 'Qualitative Research' and a Doctor of Ministry. I'm getting this strictly out of curiousity ... the author is from Abilene Christian, a Church of Christ school in west Texas.

If I remember correctly from another forum post, his book had a publisher change. Once that gets figured out and a new contract made it will come back. Glad I got it early too
