Web App Improvements: July 4 - 19
Here's a summary of significant improvements we've rolled out over the past two weeks. It's not an exhaustive list, so if I missed anything valuable to you, feel free to mention it!
- Added the locator bar to resource panel, with navigation by article/page/book/chapter/verse
- Added keylink destinations for original language words in context menu
- Added prompt when you are using an outdated version of the site (which can cause parts of the page to stop working)
- Added auto-save for in-progress work in Sermon Editor -- not sync'd, only saves to your current browser (so you can refresh the page and not lose your work)
- Added working indicator for untransliteration suggestions box
- Added working indicator to Psalms Explorer
- Improved ref.ly links generated from the desktop to open at app.logos.com (in addition to prompting to open the desktop app if installed)
- Improved Text Comparison default settings
- Improved the order of items in the resource panel
- Improved the order of homepage cards
- Fixed clicking on the resource scrollbar not doing anything
- Fixed viewing videos in Media Tool immediately opening the soundfaith.com
- Fixed opening/paging through certain Media Tool items switching format to small display size
- Fixed Parallel resources displaying error message in resources that don't have parallel resources
- Fixed some cases where popular resources could appear slow to load
Thanks for your continued support and feedback!

Again excited about all the improvements.
One thing...my cards will not drag and drop. Should the fact that I'm on Chrome for Mac make any difference??

Sorry, that was added to the list by mistake. We are still working on making that available.

Thanks! Will you soon be working on making the card size and layout dynamic, so there isn't so much wasted space on each side of the card columns?

See my comments here. There's a case in to allow you to set the number of columns of cards so you can utilize more of your screen space if you'd like to.

David I am not seeing a locator bar on resource panels. Is there some hidden setting to turn it on ?

At what point will work done in the sermon editor in app, sync to the rest of the ecosystem (e.g. desktop)?
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

It will sync about 15 seconds after a change is made. And if it hasn't synced and you try to refresh the page, you will get one of those popup warnings asking if you are sure you want to refresh. If you do refresh the page in that window it will do its best to recover what it was you had changed (provided you didn't update the sermon document from a different platform somewhere else).TCBlack said:At what point will work done in the sermon editor in app, sync to the rest of the ecosystem (e.g. desktop)?

Can we have page number shown in resources? I could only do this when I switch the web-app into compatibility mode.
Thank you

Thank you
The page numbers visual filter is available. We'll add support soon to switch to the page number milestone index in the reference box.

Right now the only think I care about is making notes at least as good as desktop. Sync with desktop is primary complaint right now. Until that happens I won't be using the web app for much of anything.

It's our top priority. We're actively working on it.

bump .... how is the resource locator bar turned on? I still am not seeing it in the web app.Disciple of Christ (doc) said:Added the locator bar to resource panel, with navigation by article/page/book/chapter/verse

Note: Resource Locator Bar is not TOC. These are separate parts of a resource panel.

This was premature. It's on our internal test build, but it hasn't shipped to users yet. There are some styling issues to address. I'd expect it to ship early next week. Sorry for the delay. When it does ship, you'll turn it on through the panel menu.

Thanks Phil, good to hear it is development and soon, all going to plan, will be available to users.

Is there a way to right click on an iPad in order to access the right click menu?

Not at the moment as far as I know

If they fix the right click on iPad and sync up the two notes systems, then the web app is very feasible as a desktop app replacement.
