Should I get Logos Now?

I'm a seminary student with the silver base package and am learning how to use logos quite effectively.

I've heard a lot of buzz about Logos Now, but apart from the Faithlife advertisements, I haven't seen any "real life" endorsements -- which is why I'm posting on this forum.

Those who have and are familiar with LS....do you recommend it? Why or why not? What features do you like about it, and did you get anything you didn't expect? Did you expect to get something you didn't?

Logos Now is a "service," ala "Amazon Prime." To me, Amazon Prime's "free 2 day shipping, without having to purchase $25 in merchandise" is valuable and worth my annual fee. The many other benefits (including video, free book of month, etc.) are icing on the cake. It is the same to me for Logos Now.

Are you ok with renting the features, at a significant discount, knowing you will lose the features if you stop subscribing? If so, LN is a "no brainer."
If you believe strongly in purchasing features, you will have to find other reasons to subscribe.

Logos Now is worth it I have subscribed for two years now and I have gotten my moneys worth each year. I still debate about buying the features though only because I have grown to like them in 7 and I feel I have gotten my value in other place like alabama has pointed out. $99 a year is not bad at all for all that you get, I like to look at it from a monthly standpoint which is about $8.50 a month but just having to pay it all at once is where people don't like it.

I think that this is the key point. You will be working the software quite hard and will be wanting to take full advantage of its capabilities. When you come to the end of your student days you will be in a position to decide if Logos Now will be of continuing value. You may decide to do something less study intensive and drop the subscription for a period - there is no penalty to rejoining and taking up as and when circumstance change.
