Derek Brown (PhD, SBTS) has written a well-researched post on theLAB in which he argues for an integrated understanding of regeneration and effectual calling in the ordo salutis.

Looking forward to your comments.
Tavis
Well, Tavis, I kept quiet, confident that hundreds of forumites would jump at the chance of commenting on ordo salutis relative to regeneration. It's a fairly common issue that quite frankly gets banned around holiday time, and therefore is most appropriate to hot muggy summer days. Smiling.
No offense to the author but it illustrates my contention that Christianity has become Christianism, combined with politicalism (just saw a special on the Russian Orthodox).
Keeping my comments within bounds, it also illustrates that Logos is becoming largely a theological toolset (which many want/need). Logos doesn't speak much to the Bible, daily living, and the Chistian traditions that emphasize behavior as a metric of human belief. Yes, datasets on 'doing'.
Wow - ever impressive! Not a theo blub from you. Should I be the tempter here & say, "ah go ahead and let loose?" or continue to be impressed with such reign pulling?
Nice! [;)]
mm.

To be fair, it was posted on their academic blog.
