The OP didn't explain the issue clearly. I don't use the NKJV, so I don't have anything to compare what I am seeing to. It does appear wonky. Notice the alignment of the verse markers for 5 & 6 compared to verse 7:

I'm trying to reproduce this internally but am having difficulty. Can you let me know what your program and content scaling set at? Also, do you have any resource specific scaling set?0 -

Did you try the same passage? Here are my settings:

I understood the OP to be having a problem with his Visual Filter drop down covering the text. The verse alignment would have been an issue with the resource text which hasn't changed since January.0 -
If I'm understanding the OP correctly, he does not like how the visual filters drop down box is not centered and is blocking his Windows toolbar.
In this picture, notice that the box is not centered under the button. It goes far left of it.

In this picture, the visual filters menu is off center and blocks the text of the NLT. I do agree that for appearances, it would look better if the visual filters drop down box was centered.

We won't know unless/until he responds... but that doesn't make sense to me. In your view, what does DBR mean? If my understanding is right, how does the menu location disrupt that?

I was able to reproduce it. All of my scaling is set at 100%. In my Windows 10 settings, the Taskbar setting for "Automatically hide taskbar in desktop mode" is set to "Off".

I believe that you are correct in that he means daily Bible reading. In my opinion, it doesn't distract from your reading because you close the panel before resuming reading. It just isn't as aesthetically pleasing as if it was centered more.

Rick and David,
Are you using this on a desktop or tablet? Also, we just shipped a 7.8 SR-1 is this still occurring with that version?

Logos Bible Software 7.8 SR-1
7.8.0.0037I am also attaching an image that shows my scaling settings.

They are 1920x1080 on an HP Envy laptop with a 17" screen.
EDIT: 17.3" screen.

Let me go into more detail because this is one of my daily uses of Logos and is quite frustrating to me. DBR = Daily Bible Reading. I do my DBR in NKJV. One of the screenshots below shows the setting I use--it is a very large font. I read 10 chapters per day on a 22 inch screen connected to a Windows laptop. I have been doing this for 3 years. I know what the text did look like and what it looks like now after the latest update (7.8). By ALIGNMENT I am speaking of the way the text of the Bible aligns. The way I like to read it is with the Verse Markers in line and the text indented from the imaginary line of the verse numbers. I have been reading the NKJV this way for a long time. Now, only parts of the Bible text are aligned like this--before 7.8 ALL were aligned like this. It seems to be NOW when quotations come in that the quotation slips over toward the left margin, rather than being indented. However, the Book of Proverbs also is this same way. The first line is indented but the succeeding lines are at the left margin. This is very distracting to me. The reason I included the VISUAL FILTER drop-down in my first post was that I wanted you to see how I have it configured. Let me now place some screenshots before you...
Here is a shot of what has me upset. The first line of Hebrews 1.5 is indented the way ALL lines used to be indented.
Here is my content scaling setting...
Here is the font size on the scale the way I have it set...
Here is the way all of my NKJV used to be aligned...

Philiana - It appears that changes to the "bible text only" feature have caused this. I am seeing this whenever there is 1) poetry and/or 2) quotations of the OT in the NT.
