Reducing Logos app size on Android phone
Logos app on my Android takes up 500Mb (!!!). How can I reduce it down in size without removing things I need. Basically, all I want is the Nestle-Aland Greek Text, critical apparatus, LXX, and 1 English translation.
Thanks in advance.

I don't use android, but I think all of this should still be true: App size = App + All Note Documents + Downloaded resources. If you don't have many downloaded resources, in all likelihood, it is your note documents. You can't really do anything about that unless you want to delete them across the board as this preference syncs between devices. FWIW - 500 MB is fairly small. My FB install is larger.

Thanks. I tried that and it didn't work. I was at 506 Mb. So then I figured out how to go into Library and remove any resources that I had downloaded in years past (the Circle "I" filled in)... and removed the ones I didn't want. That didn't change the app size.
So then in the phone's application manager, I could see 227 Mb is "data" while 279 is the application. So I clicked "Clear Data." Then I reopened the app and downloaded the few resources I wanted. Now I just went into the phone's settings, and it now says I'm back at 506 Mb (227 Mb of data)... even though I removed 4 or 5 commentaries and other resources I don't want on my phone.
So now I'm using 7 resources on my phone instead of 11 or 12... but yet the app is using the exact same amount of data. I dunno. Kinda aggravating.

Hi Jeff
Sometimes devices don't clear the memory automatically. Have you tried powering down your device and restarting?
FWIW the Logos App on my iPhone is 135.4MB and 115.2MB is used to store 4 Bibles, the Revised Common Lectionary and one smallish N T Wright Book. Commentary Sets can be huge.

I don't know how it works on android. As Mike mentioned, the "app size" on iOS is much smaller than your reported 279. My guess: 227 represents your note documents and the 279 represents app+resources. You could try deleting the app and re-downloading, but I would not expect much "savings."
