Text Comparison Interlinear Feature?

HI all, 

I noticed today that my Text Comparison Tool now has Interlinear Feature (click the verse drop down and select interlinear), but I can't seem to work out what it is showing me. Can anyone help explain how the feature works?

I believe it is fairly new as I have not noticed it before and can't find it in any of the Wiki or video articles.
