OT: Non-Update to Heiser's Unseen Realm

Color me clueless. I got a notice from Amazon, that Unseen Realm was updated, with the update so overwhelming, your notes would become unattached, etc. I don't do notes in resources. Okie dokie.

So, I updated. Best I can see, it looks the same; 2015. And the Amazon version is the old 2015 version. And the Lexham site looks old too.

So, if you've the Kindle version, don't bite.

Separately:

The Amazon update system is a disaster. Olivetree and Accordance better. Logos, almost best (I don't like forced updates). Both Amazon and Apple both have revenue un-enhancing resource support disasters. Apple still has trouble with its wishlists after so many years.

Logos is just too good.

The Logos version still displays the date of 1015-10-23. Let's wait whether it gets updated as well on the next resource patch day.

On the Kindle version, I suspect they might have changed the file format. Kindle can handle about a dozen different formats with different DRM options etc. while retaining the same layout.

I’m aware (from numerous emails) that there is a problem with the order/delivery of Unseen Realm for Kindle. It has to do with the high number of hyperlinked Scripture references in the Kindle file. The publisher (Lexham Press) tells me that the book is just too biblical for Kindle!

They’re working on a solution. I’ll announce it when the problem is resolved.

a follow-up announcement on 31 July indicated the problem was fixed.

Judging from your dates, the 'fix' was to re-load a fixed 2015 version. Which woke up Amazon's 'There's an update!!'
