I AM Statments

Hi Everyone,

I am feeling overwhelmed by my own Library! I am trying to set up my sermon search for I AM statements of Jesus. I am having difficulty on the search of how to do this. Can anyone help me do this by pulling in my large library. Help this brutha out!

I am trying to set up my sermon search for I AM statements of Jesus.

The Greek verb εἰμι can be translated "I am" while the "I AM" statements of Jesus include the Greek personal pronoun ἐγὼ (also used by other speakers)

One way to search for "I AM" is proximity (useful in reverse interlinear resources since English translation "I am" has same word order as Greek)

ἐγώ BEFORE 1 WORD εἰμί

Search can be refined to Jesus OR God speaking: (Septuagint has Greek translation of Hebrew Bible with many "I AM" statements)

({Speaker <Person Jesus>} OR {Speaker <Person God>}) INTERSECTS (ἐγώ BEFORE 1 WORD εἰμί)

Note: searching Greek using specific spelling instead of lemma's for "I AM"
