searching the ancient literature in the passage guide

So I have an interesting theory about a passage and I want to know if an idea crops up in any ancient sources. Is there a way to search the ancient literature section of the passage guide or do I have to read every hit?

You can't Search the section, but what would you search for?
Organising by Type might help, but I appreciate that reading a source can be like looking for a needle in a haystack especially when you have more than one resource for the datatype e.g. Aug, Conf 8.6.15 refers to "The Confessions of St Augustine" when 8.6.15 only occurs in NPNF1.1. My PG was set for Mt 5:2-12 (Beatitudes) and I found the actual quotation via a Basic Search for <Matthew 5:2–12>, but only in NPNF1.1. So it appears I would have to prioritize Early Church Fathers (the intended destination) or hide "The Confessions".
But most results are curated by hand, so the Ancient Literature source won't necessarily have a reference to your passage (as with "The Confessions" above).

ideally a keyword a bit like 'keyword NEAR keyword' but one side is the reference... I don't know if it's going to work with a tagged allusion though?

Assuming a Basic Search and that your reference is the passage for the Guide, a reference will work with some Allusions, but your other 'keyword' will only restrict the number of results.
