Metzger: Early Versions of the New Testament

This post is for future searchers. And maybe some present ones.
Logos carries Metzger's The Bible in Translation: https://www.logos.com/product/2816/the-bible-in-translation-ancient-and-english-versions
Published in 2001, it covers both testaments, has decent discussions of the various translations, and is quite affordable. And of course, it's Metzger.
He also wrote an earlier volume in 1977, 'Early Versions of the New Testament' (which he qualified, by saying 'all' versions). Where the 2001 volume is about 200 pages spread across both testaments, the earlier one is about 500 pages for just the NT. The 2001 book is basically the concise version, copying various paras word for word.

And, it's quite detailed, going manuscript by manuscript, discussing language issues, and specific limitations of each translated language (what I needed). Indices include the manuscripts, and NT references. Used, it runs about $35 or so. Well worth your pennies.

FaithLife, any chance we can get the bigger version? While we are talking about Metzger, I am still waiting for Logos to have The Text of the New Testament.
