According to Google's definition of 'Essential', it means:
adjective
1.
absolutely necessary; extremely important.
noun
1.
a thing that is absolutely necessary.
Yet faithlife seem to be using it of products that aren't essential, necessary or even that important:
-
4 essential Biblical resources (2nd August)
-
A New Essential Resource for Ministry & Outreach (11th August)
Surely the only essential resources for Bible study are a Bible in your own language. Arguably for pastors this would be widened to a Hebrew Bible/Greek NT and a couple of Lexicons.
To try and flog these resources as 'essential' is disappointing and sounds to me like exaggeration at best and deceit at worst.
