i just purchased logos 4  a few months ago (3) and whenever i use it it causes my macbook pro to over heat, it also makes my other programs very hard top use (freezes them up) when i turn logos 4 off i have to restart my computer so it will stop over heating.

MacBook Pros are infamous for being hot. What surface are you using it on? (Table, floor, counter, pillow, your lap?  As you can see in the screenshot below (which I have edited for our more sensitive users) I searched MacBook Pro and hot, so as you can see you are not alone here. The two typical reasons for an overheating MBP (MacBook Pro) are hardware and a process running your CPU at 100%. I would suggest going into your Applications folder, find the Utilities folder, and open the program called "Activity Monitor" it is similiar to Windows' "Task Manager". Look to see what is taking up a majority of your CPU. Logos will probably be up there (especially when you are asking it to do something taxing) but it is not the only program that tends to use lots of CPU cycles. Web browsers tend to be CPU hogs as well. If you don't see anything maxing out your CPU I would suggest getting your Hardware checked out.
