Meaning of Nestle-Aland 28 asterisk pop-up

If I tap on an asterisk next to a verse number in the Nestle-Aland 28 Greek New Testament, I get a pop-up with some numbers. For example, on John 1:6, I get "2, III", where I assume the III is the Roman numeral 3. In the desktop version of Logos, clicking on the asterisk does nothing.

What does this mean and why do I get this behavior on the mobile app, but not the Windows program?

I am using the Android version 5.16.3 on a Samsung S7.

    In the desktop version of Logos, clicking on the asterisk does nothing.

    Because you probably don't own the apparatus which it is linked to. Try looking for the NA28 apparatus in your library and if you don't have it, then it will be confirmed that the asterisk will link to nothing for you

    Eusebian section and canon number (gospel harmony)).  For quick remembering, the second number increments as fewer harmony connects.

    As far as I can see they aren't active against E/C.

    That is helpful to know. However, this pop-up shows up on the mobile app, but not on other desktop app.

    Also, according to the explanation of the apparatus symbols in the introduction to NA28, the asterisk "identifies the original reading when a correction has been made." So there should not be any hyperlink for this.

    I do have the apparatus for the NA27, but not for the NA28. In the NA27 Logos edition, the asterisk is not a hyperlink, but it is in the NA28.
