Bug: Automatic Deletion of Layouts

I have two installations of Logos with the Startup option Most Recent - Local and hadn't started the Desktop in some time. Well, the layout content was an 'unexpected' single panel even though it carried the correct layout name. I noticed there are exactly 10 Application Closed layouts but none of them is 'local' as I had been doing a flurry of startup tests on the Laptop!

Whilst "named layouts" are "automatically deleted on startup if they are older than 30 days, or if there are more than 10 backup copies" it appears that it also applies to Application Closed backups.

(I was able to recover the basic layout from the single backup on July 14).

EDIT: after a restart Desktop still has 10 Application Closed, but there is one recent 'local' backup!

I'd like to make sure I understand what you're reporting. I read this as:

1. Set machine 1 to "Most Recent - Local"
2. Quit
3. Launch and quit Machine 2 at least 10 times (to ensure that you've cleared past layouts)
4. Launch Machine 1 - Layout is gone/wrong

Is that correct?

Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, it turns out that the situation is a little more complicated than you thought. I've written up a case to fix the problem.

No. It occurred as described and wasn't a test scenario.

Yes! I actually have 3 installations - two on laptop and one on desktop. Whilst all primarily use a startup of Most Recent - Local, the beta version on laptop that I described in my OP had been switched a couple of days ago to start with a named layout. But a total of 10 Application Closed is seen after startup on each.
