Is this book a good book?

The Shape of Sola Scriptura, Keith A.
Mathison

Are there any other book on the similar subject which is even better?

Thanks.

I can't really compare this to other books on the topic, but I can tell you that this book was very helpful to me and still sits where I can reach it.  Mathison takes a historical look at sola scriptura, contrasts it to distortions of the doctrine, contrasts it to both Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox views of authority and Scripture, and finally lays out the doctrine of sola scriptura in a finely tuned, Evangelical, and biblicaly consistent voice.

It is a really good book that shows the importance of tradition within a proper appreciation of sola scriptura, it is certainly thought provoking (in a good way) no matter how you approach the issue.
