Advertisements on the Home page

So far, I really like Logos 4, but I have noticed that the home page reeks with advertisments. I would like to request that a feature be added to designate what is allowed on the front page. I like the Bible Studies, Devotions, Overview of books I already have.... but I'm really getting tired of the advertisements. I paid for Logos 4 and many books. I shouldn't be forced to see advertisements on my home page.
Thanks.

Hi,
You can get rid of what you don't want via the customise option at the bottom of the home page. Just uncheck what you don't need.

Go to profile and enter a user name. Anything that you desire. Robots that troll websites will send you a host of spam if your email remain up there.

Interesting, I'd never thought of them as advertisements - but then again I rarely scan the home page.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

More and more companies are putting advertisements into their software. I too viewed the homepage as nothing but advertisements. This is why I turned off everything on the home page.

Thank you. Yes, I'm trying to figure that out as I already have a username specified in my profile. However, for some reason, the system isn't using it.

I appreciate how you can customize the homepage. If you don't want to see "advertisements" on the homepage turn off everything except devotionals and excerpts. Then you'll only see what you already own in your library.
I appreciate seeing the prepubs, community pricing, and blog posts. Saves me from having to actually go to the Logos.com site to check what's new.

Here's how to make that change migrate over to the forum:
http://wiki.logos.com/Changing_Forum_Display_Name
Everyone else: please go redact his email address from your quoted post of his. And get in the habit of doing that for others who mistakenly post with their email address as their display name. I doubt anyone would truly want their email address as their display name, and I'm trying to spread the word on how to change it to new users who haven't figured that out yet. I'm also trying to get Logos to stop having that be the default.

Thanks for the tip... I was getting very annoyed by the excessive amount of "ads" in my home page. Turning off blogs did the trick. Too bad now I will mis some good information, but I could no longer stand getting ads after spending $4000.00+ in Logos Resources/upgrades etc. I don't need to be continuously encouraged to buy more!
