Remote Access to full library via iPad
The Logos iPhone app is outstanding (light years ahead of any other offering imho). Each successive release shows the ingenuity of Logos' developers and the company as a whole. That said, we all know the limitations. Due to licensing requirements for each resource, not every book in our digital libraries is available. For most users, around 1/3 to 1/2 of all resources are available in the iPhone app.
Remote access apps promise a workaround. Accessing a desktop or laptop computer remotely via an iPad app would allow access to the full version of L4. This may be a bit cumbersome...I don't know. However, it would afford full access to all resources when necessary.
The real estate offered by the iPad would make this option much more attractive than through an iPhone. This "workaround" has been discussed briefly here using an app called iTeleport by Jaadu . There is another similar mac-only app ( just released) called WormHole Remote.
I'm looking forward to testing both of these apps once "late April" gets here and my 3G iPad arrives. I'm sure these RA apps won't offer the speed of the iPhone app, but they are an answer to the licensing issue.
It's Friday...but Sunday's a comin'!
