7.10: Feedback on pinning concordance data

I really appreciate the new option to pin concordance data so it doesn't get erased. I must admit I wouldn't have found the pinning option without reading the release notes. I was expecting to find the option on the panel menu. Perhaps it could also be added there.

When resources get updated and render a concordance out of date, it would also be useful if pinned concordances got regenerated in the background as soon as the resource is updated. At the moment the concordance only gets regenerated when you try and select it again, which means you then have to wait for several minutes.

Mark,
Just to clarify are you asking that this regeneration is done in the background without first opening up the tool? Or are you asking that if you have five resources pinned and three were updated when you open the tool to a resource that has not been updated, then it should regenerate any updated resources without you needing to open them?

Yes. I would like the regeneration done in the background before opening the tool, just as the library and collections are updated on startup.
Once I open the tool, I'm expecting to be able to access pinned Concordance data immediately, and it's then frustrating to have to wait for several minutes for it to generate.

Sorry, but I am a bit slow here. How can I pin concordance data? I could ont find it anywhere and the release notes did not give me enough information either.

That was my problem too. I agree that it's not intuitive. It's done from the Concordance history dropdown.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for providing this feedback. We do have two cases open with both of your suggestions.

Thanks! I remembered it could be done, checked the panel dropdown, then had to google to find out how to do that.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!
