Would Rather Be Testing than Indexing!

I have 7880 unlocked resources, and I can confirm the excedingly long time to index. The three times I have done this and have averaged around 30 hours. I about died when beta two came out and made me reindex everthing once more. I would rather be testing instead of indexing

I had to stop using my 32 bit Vista laptop with 4 Gig memory and a 2.5 Gz Dual Core because I needed to use it for work and couldn't spare the HD space. My Libronix resource folder right know is 44.9 Gig. That includes all my Libronix video, audio and media resources plus book files. When Logos 4 had finished indexing it was using approx 29 Gig of hard drive space to install everything. At that rate I will need to replace my laptop hard drive to be able to run Logos 3 and Logos 4 on it!

I can tell you this, if purchasing new resources will require a complete rebuild of the master index so that we're able to include the new books in our searches, we definitely have a problem. Especially with the rapid release of new resources that has been coming out.

I have ordered 8 gig of memory that should be here Friday, and am hoping that will help things out, we'll see.

Hi Bobby, we all feel your pain, I'm hoping we can come up with some sort of solution before the release, if not we will try to make it into a 4.+ release, I'm hoping we can allow our index to insert more information into instead of recreating, however I have been told with the insertion algorithm it may even take longer! Not sure at the moment what we are going to do but I guarantee you we are definitely focusing on this issue.
