Issue with pagination and reading plan markers

For the past while (can't be exactly sure whether two or three weeks ) I've had a rather irritating problem where column numbers are altered randomly on flicking between pages and reading plan "Done" markers disappear equally randomly. 

I rebooted my device in case it was causing the problem , but alas no!  l'm running the latest version of the Android app on a Galaxy Note 10. 1 2014 edition
