Migration?

I think you call it migration when take files from one drive and transfer them to another. What I would like to do is take my Logos app and move it to a 1TB SSD external drive My question is does anyone know whether there will be a performance increase after the migration. Is the migration even possible? Can I simply move over all Logos files or should I install on the second drive and then delete from the first - best practice advice?
Additionally I have placed all of my documents for Logos PBB in my One Drive folder. If I move that folder from my C: drive to an external secondary drive will I need to redo all the associations between Logos and Docx files?
Thanks in advance

Details on moving your installation to another drive are available at https://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive#Move_to_a_different_drive

That depends on what sort of drive you are using at the moment and the adapter to the external drive - please provide some more details

Do you mean that the files will no longer be in the OneDrive folder with which they are associated? If so, you would need to update those details if you wish to recompile the Personal Books.

Using a 3.0 USB to connect a SSD to my laptop C: HDD

As I understand it My One Drive files are located on computer as well if I move them to another drive they will still be in the One Drive (cloud) but will have moved locations on my computer.

Personally would research replacing laptop HDD with SSD (possibly use Clonezilla to copy entire HDD to SSD, which needs SSD to be larger than HDD).
FYI: replacing laptop HDD with SSD has additional benefit of speeding up operating system and other applications too.
Note: Faithlife does not support USB connected drive for Logos use (due to USB interface issues).
Keep Smiling [:)]
