Viewing notes separately from highlights

I have set up a highlighting palette to save to Resource Specific Note File. I am highlighting various passages and taking my own notes. When I look at the note file, I can view all of the highlighted sections by selecting "Quotes". But I cannot see any way that I can just view my own notes, without seeing quotes of the highlighted sections.

How can I view my own notes, without seeing quotes of the highlighted sections?

Is there a way I can save my highlights in a different file than my notes? Ideally I would be able to have one file for highlights and one for notes for each book. If that as not possible, I would like to be able to view each separately.

You have choices for saving Highlights:-

It could be any choice except "most recent" for your purposes, but you will need a different file to be open for Notes from the Context menu.
