Regarding The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, can someone tell me what "A.M. 235." means at the beginning of the verse Genesis 4:26? I know what "B.C. 3769." means, but not the abreviation " A.M." Thanks, LR
It means Anno Mundi for "year of the world" and is based on the creation of Adam.
Notice Gen. 5:3, it shows Seth being born when Adam was 130 and then in vs. 6 Enosh was born when Seth was 105. That's where A.M. 235 comes from in 4:26.
I actually had to look up the abbreviation even though I understood where the numbers were coming from.
