By the way I found out what was causing all the errors in the use of ieSpell, which some of us use for spell checking on this forum (since it's not built in 
)
I use IE 8, and if under Security settings I turn off Enable Protected Mode, no errors occur. This is preventing ieSPell from updating some of the stuff it needs.
I realize that the security measure is to protect against malicious software etc., but when it is so onerous it inhibits proper use of the tools I want then it has to go.
I presume this is why Firefox users don't see the problem, or users of older versions of IE. Maybe it has to be Windows 7 AND IE 8, I don't know.
