I updated and launched A17. The indexer appeared, the splash screen showed up for about 10 seconds, and then A17 does not show up. The Dock shows L4 as open, but the actual application is invisible.

I tried several suggestions from the forum:
1. Deleted layouts.db
2. Deleted App and reinstalled
The problem still persists that when I start L4, the splash screen appears, goes away but the program is not visible.
I can navigate the L4 menu, drop down lists show up (Tools, etc..), but nothing is visible on the screen.
L4 is "open", I tried to open Biblical People from the menu and tried the menu option for the "Home" with no results. Here are the logs.

It seems to be an issue with one of your reading plans. I'll get it logged in the bug database and check to see if we have a possible workaround for you.
If that is the case, then it is most likely my Reading Plan for the Complete Works of Francis Schaeffer. It is not working on my iPhone either so I can only assume there is some kind of issue with that book that has caused an error. I will delete that reading plan and see if the problem goes away.
That did it. The program is now visible. I hope my previous logs provided enough information to eliminate the bug.
Thanks! [Y]
Joe,
Thanks for telling us which resource. We can reproduce the error and I'll update this thread when we have an answer.
Tom
Tom, I am experiencing the same problem but I do not have a reading plan like Joe. What would you suggest?
Nate:
Could you post logs of what happens when you open the program? A link to instructions on how to do that is in my signature at the bottom.
Tommy, prior to A17 launching and nothing appeared, it crashed while it was idle during my study time. I had several books open at the time and when I tried to re-open A17 there was nothing but the menu bar.
What is odd is the fact that I do not have this problem on my wife's iMac. Just my Mac Book Pro. If you could to my wife that I need to purchase the latest iMac, I will put you on my Christmas list. Thanks for any suggestion and I have tried uninstalling Logos software.

Nate,
It doesn't look like you're running A17 yet, based on your logs.
I'd suggest deleting "Logos Bible Software 4" from your Applications folder and redownloading it from http://www.logos.com/logos4mac.
Posting this bug. Thanks.
So, we have a fix for this which will be in Alpha 18. Not sure which other resources are affected now. If it turns out to be a bunch, we may have to do an interim alpha update.
Tom, I assure I was running A17 this morning prior to the vanishing act. I might have made an error when I archived the files. I will delete LBS 4 again and see what happens.
Okay, I have re-installed LBS4 and have attached my logs. A17 launched and is visible. Hopefully it will function better. Thanks again

A17 launches for me but only the home page with nothing on it but the "Logos 4 for Mac Alpha" is visible. A17 is totally unusable for me. When I try to close the program it goes unstable and I have to do a force reboot.
Robert:
Can you try deleting the application from the App folder and download/install 17 from the direct link here: http://www.logos.com/logos4mac ? Thank you.
Tommy, I'm giving that a try. I will post back hopefully with success. Since upgrading to A17 L4 is absolutely unusable and that is quite disappointing.
No joy. Same thing. Main page loads partially does nothing else. Won't even quit.
Sad day. Okay, well could you post logs of this happening? Click the relevant link in my signature for directions.
