When a new edition of a book comes out like MacArthur's- Ashamed of The Gospel does logos update its version as well ?

Depends on what you mean by "new edition"

If you mean corrections to typos and other errors - Yes, Logos 4 will automatically download the updated file (if you have Automatically Download updates turned on)

If you mean a revised edition with new content - No, that would be a new resource and an additional charge.

It depends on the contract Logos have for the current edition. In some cases it can be quite protracted to get rights to a new edition as the publisher may want to encourage print sales.
