drawing mode

The drawing mode would be so handy if we could use it to highlight something in a text and save it as we do actual highlights. As it is now it is only temporary. To use highlights there are at least 4 steps to highlight something. The drawing mode would only be one or two steps. It is just much more handy. thanks.
