How to read the bible for all it's worth
This zondervan title was just released, is it currently licensed for the iPhone/iPad and will show up there shortly, or are their currently licensing restrictions in place?

I understand it will be available shortly as it takes a few days for new titles to appear on the iPhone. I'm not sure why it takes longer, but it does.

But also note the title is "its worth" not "it's worth" and quite deliberately [;)]

Jonathan, you have me intrigued trying to work out the difference in meaning. I suppose "How to read the Bible for all it's worth" means "... for all it is worth" and "How to read the Bible for all its worth" means "How to read the Bible for all the Bible's worth".
Now I am trying to work out how subtle these differences in meaning are.

I've been checking several times a day for the NIew International Encyclopedia of Bible Words since I downloaded it 4 days ago and it's STILL not on the iphone[:(]

Yep - I've been checking for that one as well.
When I purchased the EBC a few weeks ago, it took 5 days. So I am hoping it will be available sometime during Friday.

The "missing" apostrophe as in the authors' title emphasises the worth of the Bible - with an apostrophe it would be more of a colloquialism in common use (we talk about doing something "for all it's worth") which perhaps devalues its meaning. Makes you think (about the Bible's worth) anyway doesn't it?

Does anyone affiliated with Logos have any information about whether this book is being held up because of issues with the publisher, or if it is simply being processed and has been authorized for display on the iPhone/iPad?

I just spoke with Don in the Mac support, and he indicated that licensing should NOT be a problem on any books that have come out recently. So, he is checking into it, and will get back with me via email some time today.

Thanks Terry. I look forward to finding out.
I must be checking numerous times a day for this one to appear!

Well, no email from Don, so I am back on hold waiting to talk to a Mac customer support tech.

It has been authorized. If you go to http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/H2RBBLWORTH you see the note that it is available for iPhone. That means that they have permission from the publisher. None of the Zondervan recently released titles are actually appearing on iPhone (except the Expositor's Bible Commentary which was released earlier than the rest). Historically there has always been a delay between time of release for download to PC and the time when it actually appeared on iPhone

I understood that the NIV Application Commentary NT and the Zondervan Encyclopedia of the Bible had made it onto the iPhone on the 8th April. I haven't bought these so can't verify.

Well after 20 minutes on hold, I got talked to a nice young lady named Stacy and she walked over and asked Don what the status is. His answer is that the developers are aware of the issue (Not a licensing issue), and that they would have a fix "soon", but could not say how soon, soon was. [:)]
Based on this I asked for a refund on the book, which Stacy cheerfully complied with.
IMHO Logos has a problem with the quality control of their resource releases which I don't see much progress in being fixed. Because of this, and the fact that for me the inclusion in the book in my Logos library doesn't bring much added value, I will download it as a ebook at a substantially reduced price. If this had been a technical reference, I probably would have waited.
BTW, the cheerful attitude at my request for a refund, tells me that Logos is still a reputable company to do business with.

Yup, I read through several chapters last night and I am very pleased with the book, their explanation of the translation process and the need for interpretation is very easy to understand. I have a feeling that I will be picking up a paper copy of this as well to loan out to people in my SS class, and I know I few SS teachers who could benefit from it as well.
