BUG: "Checking for updates" message does not go away

Frequently in Verbum (7.10 beta 4 and earlier versions), if one does an "Update Now" and something happens (update downloaded, resources downloaded), the "Checking for updates" message at the lower right portion of the screen never goes away or changes its message - even days later if you don't restart the program it will still show as "Checking for updates". It seems if you do "Update now" and nothing is coming down, in a few seconds the message changes to "No updates were available/No updates found".

Don,
The notification goes away for me when I start using app without restarting. Are you saying that you expect the message to change or that the message does not go away once you start using the app.

As Mike mentioned, the message does not go away without dismissing it via the "x." This is the behavior that has always been, as far as I know.

You are correct Alabama, I was thinking of a different scenario. That is the correct behavior, and we haven't made any changes.
