no. 

The sentence runs "the priest Ezekiel became a hero to at least some of those who went to Babylon" and the point is not that he became a hero (i.e. is regarded as a hero by -most of- all people), or a hero, too (i.e. like others) but he became a hero to a group of people, namely to those people who went to Babylon (i.e. this group of people regarded him as a hero).
