Hello,
I would like to export to Excel all Greek lemmas with the corresponding Louw-Nida number. Can that be done?
Thanks,
Lane
You have to select and export ranges of values from lexicons like DBL Greek and Louw-Nida, and Exel isn't a choice. Also, a lemma can have multiple LN numbers (contextual meanings) so getting LN number as a column in Excel would be very manual (going from Word to Excel).
You could export lemmas to Excel from a Concordance on a Greek bible or lexicon, but then manually add LN numbers.
Thanks Dave. I was afraid that would be the answer.
Getting the list of lemmas was easy; it was the LN number that I thought would be the show stopper.
Volume 2 of Louw-Nida has Greek-English Index with Lemma followed by English gloss and LN number:
Export as text could be opened in Excel. A macro could be written to copy/paste lemma with English gloss and LN number.

Keep Smiling,
Thank you for that tip. That will definitely help.
