Merging Notes

If I have Genesis broken down by chapter and I have 50 different notes, and I want to merge all 50 chapters into one Logos note, then convert it to a Word document, can it be done? Or if I have a running commentary on all the books of the NT, and I want to make them into one Logos Note, then export it to Word, is that possible? Thanks for the input. It is always appreciated!

when you say 50 different notes, are they in 50 different documents, or in one document. If in different documents and you want to compile into one, there is no easy way to do it. The only way is to drag each note into the desired document.

the good news is that you can easily export a note document to word, then do whatever your desired formatting changes may be and save it as a word file. You can even use that word document to create a personal book in logos.

Yes it would be 50 different Notes that I would want to merge with the others. I wasn't sure if Logos had that capability yet seeing how Notes have been a major selling point of Logos for the last 5 or 6 years. I don't even know if it is technologically possible or not. But I appreciate the input.

I am still not clear if you have 50 different note documents or just 50 different notes in the same document. If they are in the same document just click on the top left of the panel and then Print/Export. But make sure that the cursor is not inside one of the notes (you would also see an orange line on the left) - that way it would only export that one note. Just click in an empty space before you click on export.

If they are in fact different note documents it would be manual work for now. But Logos is working on a completely new note system where those things should become easier. According to things that have been said on this forum, we should see that in a few months.

I was talking about the latter. It is 50 different Notes, not in one document. I know about the export option. But I'm talking about merging all 50 notes into one gigantic note. If it were just one I would simply export it to Word. What I am trying to avoid is having 50 different Word documents. And if that is in the works then that is great. I hope they come out with it sooner rather than later. It will be a nice feature.

The answer is there is no way to to merge note documents into one note document from within Logos automatically. You would have to copy/paste making it a time consuming process. This has been requested, but not added.

I think we are on the same page, but you are still talking about 50 different Notes instead of 50 different Note Documents. Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing, see this link for an explanation of the difference: https://www.logos.com/training/logos5/notes. I suspect you are clear about that, but just in case.
