I wonder if Faithlife will offer a special discount to those with a hard copy subscription?
$118 fot 9 volumes seems rather expensive. 😬
Actually it seems each "volume" is a year of six magazines, so and it's 54 issues = magazines, so roughly $2 each, and some 13 dollars per year. That doesn't sound unfair.
For comparison: The subscription to the paper copy is twice as much - plus shipping.
I wonder who Steve Black is.
Does he play hockey, a former JP Morgan guy, or a real estate guy in Phoenix? He seems in love with it. I bet he’s already signed for the prepub.
He's a librarian at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY.
You didn't know that?
No, I did not. And you may well be correct, since the the college has a ' remarkably accomplished faculty' per the college. I'd assume, that the librarian (Steve) is also remarkably accomplished (especially in magazine reviews?).
Of course, the college is so unusual (relative to me) that I ended up in Le Puy-en-Velay 1650. I'm sure there's definitely more to the story.
That would be appreciated. I was a faithful subscriber until recent years when I let it lapse because I didn't want a paper version.
I should add that I'm thankful that it is now available but wish it was available digitally from the beginning.
It is interesting that I am currently considering subscribing to Christianity Today after being a subscriber for years and then not be one for a while. For $30 a year I can have full access to each new issue digitally plus on-line access to each issue from the beginning in 1956. I realize that Faithlife uses a different model but ideally I'd like to subscribe to Bible Study Magazine the same way.
Hmmm...I'm on the fence on this one. Not sure if I should get this or not
I didn't either until I Googled into this: https://blog.logos.com/2009/03/library_journal_gives_bible_study_magazine_good_marks/ . (I should have put a smiley).
Apparently he is/was the Grand Poobah of reviews for Library Journal.
People who finance this products production by subscribing should definitely get a discount. To not do so is like a Kickstarter Campaign that asks me to fund the production of the product and then making me pay the same as everyone else for the same product after it's released to the public.
I'm glad they finally did this, but disappointed in the price. I won't be getting it.
I wonder if this means they will make future issues available digitally? People have been requesting this for years.

I've been wanting BSM to go digital for quite a while now but this is too expensive for me. I keep my paper copies so spending another $120 for digital versions doesn't work for me. I wish they would have done a CP on this
I've just cancelled my pre-order. BSM used to cost $9.99 p.a. (now it's $19.99). Back then I said I'd buy the digital version for the same price. That'd be around $90 for the bundle. For $120, I'm out. There are gonna be better deals down the road.
I am out on this one as well. Too expensive
I'd like to be able to subscribe to electronic edition, so that every new issue would download to Logos when it's published. Or they could add it to Logos Now subscription.
I tried to order a single BSM issue, but the shipping costs to Europe are huge. It would have been $38.40 total from a single issue (one year subscription to Europe would be $42.94).
I wish they would have done a CP on this
I agree. This is the way to go.
