Logos runs automatically on my Android 6.0 cell phone

My Logos app runs automatically on my Android 6.0 cell phone any time I turn it on. I only use the App for an hour on Sundays so it doesn't need to be running all the time. Is there a way to stop the Logos app from starting itself automatically?

Alternatively, is there some way to shutdown the app from within itself?

I don't use Android, and can't speak directly to your issue... but I can speak to iOS. Perhaps it is the same.

On iOS, it would be mistaken to think that the app runs automatically. It is in a suspended state, not using any resources. I assume you don't mean that when you turn your phone on, the app opens and fills the screen. Right?

Are you saying that it launches and shows on the screen every time you turn on the phone? or something else?

I've used Android for years and Logos on Android since the beginning and never seen this once if you mean what I"m describing.

    UPDATE:

I did some homework because this intrigued me. I found that this is a problem for some. Here's a way to stop this if it's happening.
