Multiple Resource Linking Question?

Hi everyone,

Aren't Bible Dictionaries that are linked using the Multi-Resource feature,(III) suppose to open to a selected word's definition when linked to an English Bible, like the ESV, or NASB?

This process works for Lexicons, Commentaries, even Backgrounds, but I can get a Bible Dictionary set that is linked to a Bible to bring up a word definition for a word selected in that Bible.

I tried to attach a screen shot but can't figure that out either, sorry.

Any thoughts?

Having taken your screen shot (Cmd+Shift+4 on a Mac) you need the paper clip to attach the file to your message.

Once you click on the paperclip you get a top box that asks you to choose a file – you choose your screen shot.

Having chosen your screen shot you click in the bottom section to insert the file in your message.

As to the question itself I am not sure of the answer but would ask if you have considered using the Information panel to do this work?

Hi Mike, thank you for your response and the screen shot instructions[:)]

As you can see I have my multi-resourced bibles in the top panel and my dictionaries in the lower panel. Both are on linkset "A"

I have "Christ" selected in the bibles, but the dictionary set doesn't move to the definition, even though it is listed in the dictionary index.

As to the question itself I am not sure of the answer but would ask if you have considered using the Information panel to do this work

I have used the information panel, however I prefer the multi-resource feature because I can scroll through the articles which I can not do in the information panel without opening them in another window.

The feature you are trying to use works with original language lexicons. It will not work with English language dictionaries.

I have used the information panel, however I prefer the multi-resource feature because I can scroll through the articles which I can not do in the information panel without opening them in another window.

Idea is clicking word in Bible => Information followed by clicking Dictionary link in Information to update Multiple resource location. May want Bible Dictionary with most headwords having highest priority so appears in Information plus can be the primary for Multiple resources.

Ahhh! Now I get it![:D] I can also do the same thing with a right click on the word, then in the context menu click on the dictionary there to update the multiple resources.
