Bible translation in story form

Hello,

I want to read the Bible as a story, in prose, using a reading plan. I would like to use a newer English translation, maybe even a paraphrase. Do you have any suggestions?

One year I read the Cotton Patch Gospels, another year I read "Word on the Street." I am looking for something along those lines in Logos that would be a complete Bible.
