Error Message upon opening

When the Word Study was opened it would send this error message, "Logos Bible Software 4 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I've used the Word Study before with no problem this just started happening.

NOW...Logos opens up with the Word Study and it shoots me this error message before I can access anything.

Advice?

I also get the exact error message. However mine occurs when I try to follow the link on page 16 in the book, "Back To The Future." In the foot note number 14 there is a link to the Monergism site from where Bass is quoting from. When I click the link, the web page opens, but then I get the error message and L4 closes.

For me, L4 (on PC) has been extremely sensitive to the condition of the index--when Logos starts crashing, I do a "rebuild index" overnight, and it settles down again. If you are short on time, you might try the "merge index".

I am able to use the word study feature (L4.0b SR-1) with no issues today.

...not to say this is the problem you are encountering, but if you've bought resources "recently" without merging the index, it could be a contributing factor.

As of now, Merge Index doesn't work - meaning it just rebuilds the index. The merge feature is currently flawed and hence off.

As for the issue Jason posted: please follow the directions for Diagnostic Logging
. Then Uploading Logs and writing a proper Bug Report.
